Terms and Conditions

  • The client must hold a valid driving licence and this will be checked by the driving instructor prior to commencing training. Clients must inform the instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements, restrictions or bans on their licence during the period they are receiving driving tuition. The client must also be able to read a vehicle registration plate at a distance of 20 metres.

 

  • Payment for lessons must be paid either in cash at the beginning of each lesson or by bank transfer before the lesson commences. Bank details available on request.

 

  • Matters concerning the timing, duration and location of individual lessons are subject to agreement between the client and instructor. All driving lessons must commence and finish at times agreed between client and instructor. If the client is late for their lesson for any reason or fails to show then the full duration of the booked lesson is chargeable. If the instructor is late, they will advise the client and the time will be added to the end of the lesson or another time that is suitable to the client.

 

  • In the event of mechanical breakdown or other issue outside of the instructors control the instructor reserves the right to reschedule the lesson at short notice.

 

  • The client may only change or cancel appointments directly with the instructor.  This must be done either by phone call or text message. A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to change or cancel any appointments. Any lesson cancelled or changed less than 48 hours in advance will be charged in full. The only exception to this rule is COVID-19.  If the client is displaying COVID-19 symptoms or has knowingly been in contact with anyone confirmed to have COVID-19, they must inform the instructor immediately and the lesson will be cancelled without charge. The client will then need to self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days before commencing with their lessons.

 

  • The instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of their vehicle for the practical driving test if they consider the client has not reached the required standard of competence required for the driving test

 

  • The instructor reserves the right to immediately terminate a lesson if they have reason to believe the client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  The lesson will still be charged in full.

The instructor will not accept responsibility for accidents, incidents, injury or damage to the client or their possessions or any third parties caused by the client’s recklessness or negligence during a lesson.  The client is fully responsible for any fines or endorsements they incur whilst driving including speeding or parking fines etc. The instructor reserves the right to provide the clients details to the police or insurance companies if required.
